MAXWELL RECESS TOOLS
MODEL "JF"
(FOR USE WITH JIGS AND FIXTURES)

The "JF" MODEL RECESS TOOLS are designed for use in conjunction with standard or special jigs or fixtures. They fit into almost any machine from a drill press to a turret lathe or special machine.

They are easily set up and the changeover from one job to another usually requires only a new form Cutter. As will be noted from the illustration above, the "A" diameter pilots into the drill bushing and stops on the head of the bushing. The thrust bearing permits free rotation of the tool and prevents scoring or wear. The high ratio of radial to axial motion provides a fine finish to close tolerances. For Hand-feed operations, the diameter of the groove is controlled by the adjusting collars on the tool. For Automatic-feed operations the machine stops may be utilized. Location of the recess is governed by the adjustable Thrust Bearing.
